I'm looking into buying a usb remote to scroll and highlight while I'm reading. Has anyone tried this before and do you have any product recommendations?
I'm not sure I can understand. What's a "USB remote "? How does it work? Did you mean wireless? How would that help with reading?
In addition to using Logos for bible study tools, I also use it to read books for seminary. With the set up in my office, it would be convenient (1st world problem) to no have to use the keyboard or mouse to navigate the scrolling and highlighting options, but instead using a remote like the one pictured below:
Has anyone had experience using one of these in Logos before?
I know you're asking about USB. I use a bluetooth miniature keyboard that includes a touchpad ... fits in my palm, pretty small. They make it for presentations. But cheap.
The reason is to have the space bar (page down). The touchpad works for the highlighting.
Re Alabama, when I'm reading, I like my hand down, not resting on the keyboard. It's also faster. And the BT works with my iPad too.
Denise,
Would you be able to post a link to the product you use?
Thanks for your help!

Brenton ... I've had it a while ... I don't see it on Amazon. 'Favi'
I took a pic if you want to explore something similar. My iPhone is next to the keyboard, to show comparative size. I had to stand on my head to take the pic upside down ... sorry!
Depending on the OS you're using, and the smartphone (if you have one...which is likely!) then a cheaper alternative is to buy or find a free app that uses WiFi in conjunction with a server app running on your computer to remotely "control" like a wireless touchpad/mouse/keyboard. One on the Mac I have is called "RemoteMouse".
I have used 3 different ones from SMK Link and the Gyration air mpuse plus. All have worked great.
