Search filters
I want to search all resources for the phrase "God-man" but want to eliminate "God, man" and "God man"
In other words, I want only the hyphenated phrase that refers to the two natures of Christ.
How do I filter out the unwanted combinations of the two words. I tried ANDNOT but it eliminated everything.

This is a great question. I am certainly no expert in this but I'm always interested in learning more.
From my limited understanding a hyphen (-) used between two words is ignored in Boolean searches so searching for the exact phrase "God-man" will be interpreted as God man because there is such a strong connection between the two words. I would love to know if there is a way around this but I am doubtful that there is.

Try putting "God-Man" in quotes and then click match case. This should eliminate all the lower case man in the hits.

Certainly this eliminated the cases when "man" is not capitalized but I would think that many of the examples of "God-man" in resources would not capitalize the word "man".

This is going to be difficult in Logos 6 because the search engine ignores punctuation. That is, from the search engine's point of view "God-man" and "God man" look exactly the same. However...
You can eliminate hits for "God, man" by searching for "surface:God BEFORE 2-2 CHARS surface:man"; that will allow only one intervening character (and won't find results in footnotes).
Then, I think you'll find that because "God man" is an unusual phrase in English, most of the results will actually be "God-man".
