I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application, and it still gives the wheel, and crashes at the home screen.
For clarification: reinstalling the application engine isn't often the fix for anything, unless your engine is out of date and you are having problems with the auto update within the app.
I took a look at your logs, but I am afraid they are beyond me. I think you have a corrupted catalog file, which would be left in place when you delete and reinstall the app. Hopefully a full fledged techie will be by soon to instruct.
