Logos 6 Core, Indexing Shutting Down Windows 7

I downloaded the Logos 6 core engine yesterday (I have Libronix 3 since 2006). Now, my computer crashes and closes down.

The system says it is indexing and it is taking up enormous resources while doing so (250k-295k memory [private working set]). I've paused the indexing (by system tray icon) and there are no more crashes thus far.

I cannot open Logos 6 to change the indexing timing settings (want to try to update overnight).

Any help would be appreciated!

If indexing is crashing your entire computer, it's likely that there's a fault with your PC — probably it is overheating, or there is a disk error. I would advise you to find and fix the underlying issue, rather than just work around the problem by changing Logos' settings.

If you're not sure how to interpret the reports from Reliability Monitor, click on "Save Reliability History", zip up (compress) the resulting file, and upload it here. Or let us know what the monitor says, and we can try and help.

Thanks for your advice Mark. The idea was to stop the process and figure out the issue or try to index at night (couldn't do that with the system continuing to crash and shut down). I have no idea on how to interpret the report so, it is uploaded here. If you can help, that would be awesome.

Hi Jim,

You log file suggests that Windows will have saved minidump files that will give us more information. You can use the BlueScreenView app to find out more information from those minidump files.

When BlueScreenView is loaded, go to the Options Menu, choose "Lower Pane Mode" and then select "Blue Screen in XP Style". Make sure one of the three most recent crashes is selected. Then copy/paste the contents of the lower pane into a post (or add a screenshot if you prefer).

If all three crashes say the same thing, you only need to upload one. But if they're different, it would help to see each one.

(You can change Logos' indexing timing, only the download timing. All you can do is pause for 4 hours.)

The app brought back only 1 crash from 1.26.2016 which is before my download and install of L6 on 2.3.2016. Report pasted below. Thanks

This error message isn't terribly helpful, but does point to possible hardware or driver problems. It's rather beyond the scope of this forum, too, I'm afraid.

I suggest you post a request for help at BleepingComputer. They have volunteer experts who are great at diagnosing system crashes. They will need all the information to help you properly.
