Visual Filters

Hi All,

Mounce in BBG, has a different approach to the age old method of learning paradigms. When discussing nouns he describes case endings that are attached to a final stem vowel (1st & 2nd Declensions). As an example for λογος the ο is the final stem vowel and ς is the case ending.

Has anyone been able to manufacture Surprise a visual filter that will automatically display the final stem vowel in one color and the case ending in another? It would be a great teaching tool if this could be done in SBLGNT. I am not sure if separate letters in a word can be individually tagged for a visual filter.

No, this is not possible in Logos.

This is the sort of thing that I would like to see added to Logos in support of a particular resource (Mounce) for a particular audience (Professors of Greek). Why? Because I see the growth in very specific tools as a place where electronic media can have a serious advantage over print. If you know of others who would support this particular tool, consider adding it to UserVoice.

It is a real pity that we cannot work at letter level with visual filters. I hope that the function could become available in the future.

Morphology visual filter can highlight words, which have similar formation pattern so could see the same case ending with different vowels (depends on declension).
