Is there anyway to keep my Logos 5 installation on my work PC from trying to upgrade to L6? My work PC is not allowed to go to Win7 - SP1, so I need to keep it on L5.
My understanding is that the Logos software checks for required OS levels and won't download if not appropriate
Are you seeing something different?
Yes. I get a pop up window at startup (of Logos) saying an update is ready to be installed. Do you want to install it now?
Then, if I say yes, it says it is missing .NET 4.6 - which is not supported on Win 7 (unless SP1) - and then terminates the installation.
Strange - I didn't think it worked that way.
I'll try and get someone from Faithlife to comment

Since you own a Logos 6 package, the app is automatically upgrading your Logos 5 to 6.
I would suggest that you turn off your automatic updates in Program Settings so that your app doesn't try to upgrade to L6. [:)]
Yes, I had already done that. The pop up still comes up...

It will still appear but it won't automatically update unless you click to download the update.
If you would like to not have the pop up appear then you will have to use Logos in offline mode.

The installer shouldn't be attempting an upgrade on Windows 7 (Bill's computer) unless it has SP1 as per equirements for both Logos 6 and .NET 4.6
Apparently that function isn't working. And since Logos 5 is no longer being maintained...
