Highlighting and Adding a Note or Tag

First off, I want to say I'm thankful for the help I've received on these forums in the past!  Thanks!

Anyway, when I highlight a text and right click it, I usually only see 3 options in the lower left of the dialogue box to 1) add a clipping to ____ 2) add a note to ____ and 3) add a community note.

What if I want to add a clipping or note to a different one than is listed?  I have quite a few "clippings" and "notes" files, but I can't highlight a text and then add it to any clipping or note file I want.

Any help would be appreciated!

Blessings!

    Hi

you have to open the File where you want the Clipping first, than it will Show in the List.

Also, if you set your highlight palettes to "Resource-specific note file," then that note file will appear in the list whether you have the note file open or not. (This, however, won't work for Clippings, just Highlighting and Notes).
