So I visit this page and look at the sidebar and see this for a posted price of $82.59 CAN, so I take a look, intending to probably buy it, and then the product page gives me a price of $4000+. So I didn't buy it.
Perhaps the sidebar was displaying a "Rent" or "Pay Monthly" cost? Those eye catching prices have caught my eye in the past, in which I said "let me see if I can dig up enough from somewhere to grab this before the price changes or sale ends", only to discover that the price I seen was the rental or pay monthly cost. [:)]
It is the monthly price, but
A, the sidebar should be showing me the price to buy,
&
B, when I click on the link with the rental price it takes me to a page showing the full price rather than the rental cost.
Something is definitely out of wack. May have to wait until Monday (USA) for Faithlife to respond. Better yet, they are open now (if it is feasible to use the telephone). Who knows, they may be able to honor the price you are interested in.
This is known behavior that we've documented and want to fix, but have not yet been able to address.
It happens because we display "Products" on product pages, but our recommendation tool looks for "SKUs", which any product may have have more than 1 of. The prices of SKUs can vary within the same Product.
It's a bit like the recommendation tool saying you may like a Blue Medium Logos T-shirt, and then taking you to the T-shirt page where you choose your color and size and may discover that the grey one in large is being sold for a different price.
I'm glad that you're aware of it.
Perhaps the long-awaited overhaul of Logos.com, Verbum.com, and Noet.com will fix it. I hope so! [:)]
