Help with Atlas needed

I'm in Exodus 14:2

"Tell the sons of Israel to turn back and camp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; you shall camp in front of Baal-zephon, opposite it, by the sea."

There are three Locations mentioned (apart from the sea). All three locations are tagged as such and the right click menu gives the option to see them in the Atlas. When opening the Atlas it opens it to the map related to "The Exodus from Egypt" Event. I get an orange dot showing the location of the one location I inquired. I can repeat that for all three locations. However, when I open atlas for the second or third location, the first one has disappeared. They all belong to the same big event that the atlas wants to cover, but I don't find a way to see all three dots in one and the same map. If I choose the event in Atlas none of the dots appear at all.

I'm I missing something? If I choose an event, shouldn't that be the filter as to what locations will be shown in the Map? Is there a way to control that?

It seems that there is a problem with the Exodus map. Trying to access the data via the event rather than a specific place only shows Mt Sinai, Hebron, Jericho, Sodom (??!!). Yes, I forgot, it gives us opportunity to learn all the names of the water courses. But there is nothing else, nothing showing in Egypt or along the way. Contrast that with the Ezra lead the exile event (and some other events) in which a route is actually drawn from place to place.

You got a bit more than I did. Although you may not have spent as much time being annoyed by the dropdown menu search behavior as I did ... as I do everywhere that particular routine is used.

A more interesting map is to be found in the Biblical Places interactive, under "Route of the Exodus". There is an itinerary and many places on the map, although again, navigation is far from obvious (no legend). I could not find Pi-Hariroth and "R" (for Route) is hardly an intuitive place where to look in a list for Exodus.

I didn't want to voice it in the first place, but thought I'd ask to see whether I'm missing something. This has not been the first time I thought to try out the atlas just to find it useless.

I hope they continue to listen to these voices and improve it. There is a lot of potential in the Atlas tool.

The Atlas isn't finished yet. The Exodus period is covered by volume 3 of the Atlas, which hasn't been delivered yet. So we only get the big overview map for that period, we don't yet have the individual event maps which would provide the detail we need.

That makes sense. Thanks. I guess Volume 3 covers the periods I've found myself mostly working with [:(]

Yes, I do. But the current beta is sometimes so slow to populate the context menu that I took the screenshot while it was still populating but the information I wanted to show was visible.
