Word BIblical Commentary second edition

I as just browsing through the list of top ten highest rated resources ( https://www.logos.com/2015-top-resources?utm_source=blog.logos.com&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=mostreadhighestrated&utm_campaign=promo-2015inreview#toprated) and noticed the website said I do not own the Word Biblical Commentary Set. I have owned this set of commentaries for some time now so I called tech support to find out what is going on. He explained to me that a second edition has come out. That is great but it got me to thinking, I have an extensive library with Faithlife and I do not want to end up accidently buying something I own because I have the first edition instead of second edition. Something  like the WBC set was obvious but I have a number of books or smaller sets that would not be so obvious to me at a glance and might purchase them without realizing I own the first edition. Is it possible to add something to the site to let me know I have the first edition of what I am about to buy on all levels?

There is not a second edition of the whole series, but only of some volumes. I purchased the original series and over time upgraded individual volumes (usually it is actually a good idea and cheaper to upgrade the whole set, even if really it is only one volume).

If you already own some products that are part of a collection, there will be dynamic pricing. There is a tiny circle with a question mark next to the adjusted price that tells you how much of a discount you get on the basis of what you already have. Then the section "more details about this resource" toward the bottom of collections product pages indicates with a blue star volumes that would be new to you.

I am not concerned with buying any of them atm, what I am concerned with is being in a situation where I think I do not have something when I do and purchasing a second edition of it without realizing what is going on.

The same issue arises in brick and mortar stores. In fiction, I get caught when they have changed the title and the cover ...

Not always. Notably Zondervan rarely allows Dynamic Pricing and they now publish the WBC.

Dynamic pricing only works on same edition as well. This is an issue that can be resolved easily along side dynamic pricing in the coding.
