Dear Faithlife,

Will inclusion in one's library of the EBNE, Encyclopedia Britannica (32 Vols), Great Books of the Western World, and Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable dramatically expand search capabilities?

I believe that these specific products can fill current gaps in search capabilities in several areas.

I have orders/bids in for these products and others. I am willing to purchase other products that will improve general search capabilities. You are the experts. Am I correct in my thinking?

    Awesome search resource!

    Religious and Theological Abstracts 2012

This is incredible! The abstracts are wonderful; now if we could only link to the articles.

I answered the Faithlife survey questions.  If someone from Faithlife will provide answers to the two questions in my above post, I will give serious consideration to the Logos recommendation provided based on my survey responses.

    Thank you,

    Roger Dittmar

You realize that the forums are users helping users not a way to contact Faithlife in general? I skipped over your question because I do not know the answer since I don't know what you are apt to be searching for. I am uncertain about the Great Books as I don't know how they are tagged but for the others I can confidently say that (a) if you don't have resources that already cover these materials and (b) if you are searching for materials that are in these resources (c) then they will dramatically improve your search results. Plus they are all worth having anyway.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Can you define more precisely what you mean by this? I don't really know what you're asking, so it's difficult to answer the question accurately.

    Bradley,

Home>Noet: Scholarly Tools>re: Resources needed for Noet Scholarly Tools

The link relates to my previous specific questions regarding searches. I forwarded the requested email as indicated above.  I waited two weeks and decided that an answer was not forthcoming. The thread you responded to here was my attempt to use a general type of question instead of one related to specific searches. I was trying to approach the issue from the opposite direction.

Originally, all I wanted to find out was what it takes to perform the literary and historical allusion  searches (with a click) of the novels in the Noet Literature Research Library that have that descriptor in the catalog.

My thinking was that the resources listed in this thread might expand the search capability for searches of those novels.

Thank you for looking into this for me.
