Help on information feature

Hi,

I have the information box open and i find this very useful. I would really love to have two definitions open at once though. At the moment the software goes thought my dictionaries and picks the top entry which is good, I would really also like to see the English translation from my English dictionary as well (so I have both a biblical and English definition on the screen at the same time). Is this possible ? I can't see a place where I can set this up though ?

Yes, an English Bible with Reverse Interlinear tagging has four Information definitions:

English headword, Greek headword, Greek Strong's, and Louw-Nida.

Thanks for this. I have set it up as best as I can (which was better than before) so I appreciate your advice. The big issue I have is that I want to search a dictionary but the software only allows me to select Lexicons. This is strange because it seems to pick the word from my dictionary a lot of the time even though I can't select it :-) What would be really nice is if the software allowed a linkset from the information guide to mirror the selection to another resource. I may suggest this to FL

I'm not sure I can follow you. But I just wanted you to be aware, that when you right click a word in a Bible the context menu lists up to five dictionaries/lexicons that carry that word (actually in order of prioritization). You can even choose between the English word (which is the top left entry in the context menu labeled as selection), the Greek/Hebrew lemma or root (depending what you select, and the Strong number. If you don't see the lexicons or dictionaries listed on the left hand side of the context menu, you might have to scroll down to see them.

For grins, prioritized "Collins English Dictionary--8th Edition" before the resource that previously appeared first with English Headword definition in Information followed by click on Rejoice (in Philippians 4:4) to refresh Information (since have Information configured to refresh on click). CED8E is "Collins English Dictionary--8th Edition":

Several resource types have English Headword indexes:

Some Bibles: e.g. NLT

Type:Dictionary

Type:Lexicon

Type:Thesaurus

When "Rejoice" was clicked to refresh Information definition, the English headword was searched using Library prioritization. The first resource with English Headword indexing that had "Rejoice" appeared in Information definition.
