SUGGESTION: I finally figured it out ... I need a block lock function ... no more three finger books

I have been pressing for commentaries that have their own Bible translations to be able to show that translation at the same time as the notes and commentaries. In dead tree format I refer to these as three finger books because I use my fingers as bookmarks to three locations so I can flip back and forth.

Yes I can set up multiple copies of the commentary but I either spend a lot of real estate on TOC side bars or I risk scrolling outside the block of text I have assigned to a panel and spend lots of time getting back to what I wanted.

SUGGESTION: allow me to limit a panel to a section (or consecutive sections) of the table of contents i.e. lock the panel to a specific block of text. This would allow me to keep each panel focused exactly where I want ... yes, moving to the next pericope would require a bit of setup but that is a cost I am willing to pay.

Typical examples:

A case where it would allow me to more closely simulate the layout of the print copy:

It could usefully be extended to cases where the user has to highlight the text block because the TOC does not segregate the translation.

This would achieve my desired results without requiring significant restructuring of the resources. You could also, in effect "freeze" any panel where it is the focus of study and you don't want it changed. Obviously the block lock function would be incompatible with the "send links here" function for any given panel.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

[Y] This would be an elegant solution to that particular problem.  It's one I run into fairly frequently.
