Tablet or 11 or 12 inch computer suggestion

Hi,

I only saw posts from last year about this topic and am still confused.

I need a small and inexpensive (under $500) system that will run LOGOS just for my seminary usage. I have a home computer for other usage and just need a very portable, light system for daily travel and longer trips. Basic functions like email, web browsing, and microsoft and LOGOS, No bells or whistles.

I am not savvy in the area of storage etc. so recommendation will be helpful.

When you say "Microsoft and Logos" how much of the Logos functionality do you need?

I ask because the Logos 6 software (that runs on a desktop / laptop) provides full functionality of the product but it is also possible to run Logos apps on mobile devices such as tablets. This isn't as functional but does provide access to most of your resources and allows you to do searches, run some Guides (when online), take highlights & notes etc.

The answer to this question will inform what is the right type of platform for your requirements.

You are going to want a Windows based tablet to run the full Logos Desktop app.

And both of these are in your price range. So with one of these two choices you can have your Cake & eat it too.

With that said I would look at the Samsung Premium Series 7 11.6" Tablet/Laptop it uses an Core i5, 4GB Ram, and a 128GB SSD. but the display is 1366 x 768.

Hi Graham,

I need to install and run LOGOS remotely without internet connection. My home is a Dish Satellite and I can easily chew up my download. Also, my Lenovo is a wonderful computer but we opted for less storage for other functions and strength/ longevity so I will keep all LOGOS on the new computer/ tablet and just email myself information or attachment from the little portable one. Make sense? I want this new computer to be 100% my school alone for the most part.

I have already spent a fortune on print books and am hoping to use LOGOS more.
