Why is it with all the bug fixes and features, we still can't get highlighted search results in Notes? Does anyone think searching in Notes is worthwhile, or useful? How long must we wait for this?
The lack of attention for so long is appalling. To be a company that prides itself on Search, well, explain to me how you can use search with Notes without highlighting the results. Is this such a bizarre request? When can we get beyond "It's on the list, but no commitments on when we can do this, sorry"?
Why do we get so many things we don't ask for, yet the things we ask for are ignored?
It's things like this that affirm my belief that many times Faithlife does what it wants and ignores customers. October 2014 Bob sent me this:
I'm sorry we don't hit-highlight in notes yet. I don't believe there is a technical obstacle any more, but we just haven't gotten to it yet. I'll make sure a reminder is sent to the UX and development leads on the project.
Yeah! This looks like a dandy bandwagon to jump on!
Most of the newfangled widgets and gadgets I seldom use. Many never more than a first look. Those don't add much value. Those aren't the things that I would tell as word-of-mouth advertising to new or prospective users.
Now highlighted search results! That would be a lot of value added and something worth proclaiming from the branches of the highest tree.
This feature is still very technically challenging to implement, which is why it hasn't shipped yet.

I agree with the first 2 posters that this is very important. I have already had the need for this 3 times today in 45 minutes of study. Am eagerly anticipating the day this feature ships!
