Didn't see these under my account.
I know that it doesn't happen each time an item on my wish list goes on sale but every once in a while I do get emails saying that items on my wishlist are on sale.

I believe you will be emailed if in your account settings you go to Email Lists and check the Personalized Offers option.
The only email I get is something on your list is on sale... it would be nice if they could list what items are actually on sale

For that you just need to check the sale page on the 1st of the month every month.

I suspect they do it to send you to your Wish List in the hope you'll buy something from it. If you look at your Wish List, the sale items have the prices in red.
Thank you Greg and Paul... good suggestions! The only issue with the red prices are that they are not only for sales. If I own parts of an item, the price is in red because I technically get a discount for owning some of the set but the item isn't necessarily on sale
This is also true for resources that are discounted indefinitely for people with academic discounts, which can easily make checking one's wishlist for red prices a serious misuse of time.
