Opinions on "The Institutes of Biblical Law"

This is currently half off and looks useful. Does anyone have any experience with this resource or know of the author?
Thanks

These books are very influential and are well worth getting just because of their influence, which was very far reaching in Reformed circles.
The author (Rushdoony) is a bit outspoken for some people and indeed even some of his fans will say he lacks a smidgeon of balance (but he would say that balance is inherenty wrong) but his basic point that God's law is not wrong, and if we do not like it we have to examine ourselves as to why not, even if you do not follow his theonomic conclusions is very well made and insightful.
The review at http://frame-poythress.org/the-institutes-of-biblical-law-a-review-article/ is very interesting, and in my view balanced.

Please edit your post so as to indicate the title and/or author of the works in question in the subject of the thread. This will make it easier for interested forum users to find it, and it will also save time for uninterested forum users.

I have the hard copies and now have them in Logos. I really enjoy reading two of the three volumes. The first is the best! Well worth the price, especially when it is on sale! [Y]
