Visual Filter: Names of God

YHWH = no problem

El = problem. How do I capture only El (af אֵל 5) referring to God?

Shadddai = problem. Why does it not highlight no matter what I do? Do I need to capture the compound El Shaddai?

What about other compounds? El-Olam / Jehovah-Nissi, -shalom, -jirah, etc.?

Gao Lu, I agree that Logos software is not intuitive with regard to your issue. I too have struggled to search/highlight/filter specific nouns (in your case) or another part of speech, that didn't return the expected results.

No doubt, you will receive a good solid technical explanation of why it didn't work as expected and how to remedy your criteria to make it work. But the fact remains that the tools are not intuitive.

We shouldn't have to work this hard to reap the fruit that the software obviously offers.

Suggest using Morph visual filter with lemma's:

If join Faithlife group Logos Visual Filters, then can copy work shared by other(s): e.g. Highlighting Palette "Hebrew Morphology - Names" followed by visual filter "Logos Hebrew Morphology - Names"

I will keep looking for ways to capture compound names.

I am having trouble getting the Lemma forms to show up. I'll keep working on it.

I am using this for El Elyon

עֶלְי֔וֹן WITHIN 0-1 WORDS אֵ֥ל

and it seems to work. Haven't checked for errors.

Right click menu has lemma, which can be searched (so can copy lemma form for visual filter use).

Edit: EYPHKA! I figured it out! You have to select a specific lemma for a specific morphology and Lo! Behold! It works!

How do you say "EYPHKA" in Hebrew? I guess we can go with הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃
