BUG? or is 3 hours too fast to expect to see search results
1. Do a wildcard search for Bodies of Water in the Logos Deluxe Map Set ... tried multiple times and have waited 3 hours ... still can't get past "loading" for results.

There could be a bug in loading search results from Logos Deluxe Map Set; it is an older media resource. Try searching for "Mediterranean*" (including trailing asterisk); does that load results?
In general, a search for * will always be extremely slow, even if you restrict it by other criteria (e.g., searching within just one field or highlight style or just one resource.) This is a known issue.
(Note that some search extensions, such as {Highlight} may process "*" efficiently; my remark above applies to "*" used in normal textual search.)

Another possibility: index corruption was detected and your index is being automatically rebuilt; this would prevent the search results from loading.

I had resorted to * to find where the search field was used. When that found results but would not display them, I tried * on the specific resource. This found the same count but would not display them ... that's 3 hours after the count of matches was displayed. When I try something that I think is reasonable such as Mediterranean*, I get no matches to display.
I'll try rebuilding the index on the one resource ... I'm not having a general problem.

took nearly 3 minutes followed by a few seconds to load 119 results:
Surprised by two searches in Body of Water returning 0 results (word basis for wildcard search that had 119 results):
Gulf,Great,Lake,Mediterranean,Ocean,River,Sea
Gulf OR Great OR Lake OR Mediterranean OR Ocean OR River OR Sea

Yes, I'm convinced I have a trashed index which happens to be trashed in areas I don't frequently use so that I didn't recognize it.
