I don't get a reply button on either of the two postings in this thread. It has been locked. Is this on purpose?
It was to prevent your jokes [:D]
Thought that was kind of funny too. Since this is the extension of that thread, maybe someone can explain what a couple of the fixes mean.
I played with the notes and figured out the rest, but just don't understand what these fixes are talking about.
Oh, well. And I actually had something nice (and serious) to say. [*-)]
Context menu Add note now respects the selected tab to influence note attachment.
Not sure either. Programmers don't really speak English you know and that's all I can understand.
Added ability to add a note to a reference range.
Seems that we can highlight a range of verses now and attach a note to that set. Couldn't we do that before (asks the marginal note user)?

I thought the 2nd meant that if you added a note to Matthew 10:34-39, that is how the note would be listed, but it's listed as Matthew 10:34, although 34-39 all are highlighted. So don't understand what it means.
It makes a difference whether on your right click menu you select the 'Selection' tab or the Reference tab before you add the note. Try it with the Reference tab selected.
I never saw any bug fix reports for three of the things which were listed as "Known Issues" in Beta 10. They'd been around for a while in some cases and simply disappeared in the release notes as of Beta 11.
I wasn't the one who reported any of those bugs, so could someone who remembers them verify whether they are indeed gone now in Beta 12? I'm pretty sure MJ Smith would know about the versemap one, and perhaps the notes ones, too.
Pasting text into a note loses all paragraph formatting
[:(] Still not fixed.

Still not fixed.
Except I've never had the problem of losing paragraphs ... other problems yes, but I do wonder what is different about my paragraphs. Perhaps that the base is HTML?
sadly the notes are RTF based not HTML based, which is why there has bee so much frustration since logos 2 days when the decison was made to move notes base from HTML to RichTextFormat.
I remember it well, it the day I started asking for more functionality back in our notes
I thought that L4 was XML based which I would normally expect to be 'general text'. But I'm not sure why I thought that.
I was sure I read Bob say they were RTF based, but, it seems to have changed (again), having looked inside the DB its neither...or both.. it seems like its a xml/css/html hybrid rehash..

With this format we can all say we are partly right. [:D]

That is cool, didn't know this - thank you.
It was locked so several different issues can't be added and possibly lost in that thread.
Thank you. It was really hard to follow all the issues people were posing the announcement threads
