Bug or user error? Problems pasting Copy Bible Verse into Word. [6.11 Beta 2 (6.11.0.0005)]

I am trying to use Copy Bible Verse (CBV) to build a "Bible" type Personal Book. The intent is to have CBV provide the layout and formatting I want and then edit the translation in Microsoft Word.

I created the CBV style and the preview in CBV looks correct, but it does not paste into Word correctly.

  1. Extra Paragraphs missing. I want to force a blank line between the header and the first verse, and between each verse, but they don't show up when pasted to Word (see example below).
  2. Superscript not turned off. I want the verse number in superscript font and the verse in normal font, but when pasted to Word, the superscript is not turned off - the verse text is also in superscript font (see example below).
  3. The "Copy and Paste" button doesn't paste the CBV text to Word, it only copies (like the "Copy" button). I have to manually paste it into the word document. Microsoft Word is already open with the cursor in the position I want the text to be placed. (Not illustrated in example below).

I am using:

  • HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
  • Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit) SP1
  • Microsoft Word 2007 (12.0.6745.5000) SP 3 MSO (12.0.6743.5000)

Example:

CBV style text:

%NoFootnotes
%NoRedLetter
%NoCitation

=Header

[FullPassageRef] ([Version])

[[@bible:[FullPassageRef]]]

(Dynamic/Composit/Lexical/Discourse)

=ForEachVerse

[[[VerseNum] >> logosres:[Version];ref=Bible[Version].[FullVerseRef]]] [VerseText]

For a bible with references using the NIV, try:-

    =Header

[FullPassageRef] ([Version])

[[@BibleNIV:[FullPassageRef]]]

(Dynamic/Composit/Lexical/Discourse)

    =ForEachVerse

[VerseNum][Version] [[@BibleNIV:[FullVerseRef]]] [VerseText]

This gives in a compiled PB:

Each verse 11, 12 & 13 has a milestone entry like a full Bible. I'm not sure what you intend with the logosres text.

Note that NIV84 is my short title for the 1984 version.

It works for me with Windows 10 and Word 2016

This can happen if you're running Logos or Word elevated (as administrator). For security reasons, Windows blocks communications between elevated and non-elevated programs. If you're running both programs not as administrator (our recommendation), logs might show where "Copy and Paste" is failing.
