Books on Preservation of the Bible through the Centuries

I would like to read some books or journals on the how the Bible has been preserved through the centuries. What is the best terminology to use in doing this kind of search? Thanks.

The words "transmission" and "canon" is often used in this context. If you enter transmission AND bible at Logos.com you will get some suggested resources. If you are wanting to search your library you may want to try something like: transmission WITHIN 5 WORDS (bible, text, manuscripts)
Hope this gets you started.

If you study Luke 1:1-4 and do searching on this you will find much on Transmission of the Bible.

If you look these up in a Bible dictionary it will probably give you a good starting point as to other resources to follow up in. Alternatively, search for the topic in Facebook and it'll take you to the relevant articles in Bible Dictionaries. It'll also take you to the Topic Guide which will give you more to follow up on. Canon certainly produces wha took like useful results in the Hexham Bible Dictionary.

I do appreciate your answer and the preservation of the canon is so important. I searched on what you said and it seemed as your answer had to do with preserving the quality of the scriptures. What I was really wanting was knowing how the Bible has been protected from being destroyed as far as having copies of the Bible. Like leaders will try to destroy the actual physical Bible. Even today in certain nations Bibles are forbidden. I just wonder if there's any documentation of this kind of thing happening. I know that God has miraculously preserved Bibles so that we can read them and would like to know more about this.
Thanks,
Susan
