Suggestion: Add Bible Notes to Passage Guide

As the title suggests, please add a separate category for resources tagged "Bible Notes" to be available during a Passage Guide search. Yes, there is a section for commentaries, and that's great, but it would be helpful to have Bible Notes available, too. Sometimes, I'm not looking for a deep, in-depth analysis that a commentary provides... sometimes the Bible Notes (from say, study Bibles) is sufficient.

If you make a collection of "Bible Notes", you can add a Commentaries section to the Passage Guide and limit it to that collection. While it would be nice to have the feature automatic, you can do it now.

Note you could go to Collections under tools and build with the rule type:"Bible Notes" but

1. Open your library, select all Bible Notes, save as collection

2. Give the collection a nice title

3. Go to your Passage Guide and add another Commentary section (or you can always change the one that is open on the fly)

4. Change the Settings to show the Bible Notes Collection ... and perhaps change the number displayed.

5. Enjoy the results

6. If you like it modify your personal PG template to have it appear automatically.

This saves a snapshot of the current list of Bible Notes resources you own. Instead of doing this, I'd recommend creating a dynamic collection with the rule

type:bible-notes

This collection will be "live" and update whenever you add another Bible Notes resource.

I agree and had mentioned it first. I looked at the post count, thought he might be a new user and chose the most automated, not the best, path.

Thank you very much! I didn't know Logos could do that. I've been using Logos since Libronix was first introduced, but always struggled with the learning curve. Only recently have I discovered the forums. So, I'm still learning quite a bit about the power of Logos and what it can do these days.
