In field searches such as ot-quote:* it would be very useful to have an ANY option that ran more quickly than a wild card search ... and often what one is looking for is all occurrences of the field within a narrow range of scripture.

ANY can be so useful for many kinds of searches. I think it should be a standard option for all searches (although, of course, there will be complaints that searching for ANYthing in EVERYthing takes too long).
