Liddell-Scott Greek-English Lexicon, Eighth Edition, on CP

I noticed that the Liddell-Scott Greek-English Lexicon, Eighth Edition is on Community Pricing. Given that the newer Liddell and Scott Greek–English Lexicon (LSJ) is available, how helpful is it to have the earlier version? I can see two possible benefits. First, it could be helpful with older resources that may reference it directly. Second, it might be a cheaper alternative to the more recent version.

I'd appreciate it if some of those forum participants with expertise in Greek could shed some light on the relative value of this resource.

That's my understanding. I guess I was wondering whether the two versions were similar enough that it made sense to go for this one at a CP price, or whether it was enough out of date that it would be a waste of money.
