Why doesn't my <person: jesus> search return any results?
One scenario I can think of that would give this result would be if you're a bit lazy and type in jesus with a lower case j, while happening to have Match Case checked. Since Jesus is never spelt with a lower case j, it wouldn't be found anywhere (unless there's a typo somewhere).

Using the clause search how would i find instances of putting on truth and righteousness?
A normal text search would be better. Clause Search is primarily for People, Places or "Things", but you will get a result with verb:put on and verb:gird.

Why doesn't my search for "faith hope love" in the NIrV return all the results shown in the video?
Most likely you have Match All Word Forms turned off. The hits in NIrV are for 'faithful', not 'faith'.

Will the clause or morph search allow me to build a visual filter to mark clauses?
(No but ...)
The OpenText.org Syntactically Analyzed Greek New Testament is the UBS/NA Greek text, but broken up with clause boundaries and clause component boundaries. Many folks don't realize this, but there is a version that is not the graph resource, but a normal 'running text'. This has been available since the intial release of OpenText.org material with LDLS3, so it works in LDLS3, Logos 4 and Logos 5.
An example is below, from Matthew 5. I took the liberty of circling some subjects. If you hover an abbreviation, a definition will pop up. Double-pipes (||) are clause boundaries, one to a line. [[brackets]] are embedded clauses. Single pipes (|) mark clause component boundaries. 'sc' are secondary clauses. The upward/downward pointing arrows inform which main clause the secondary clauses go with.

Is there a list of the Logos Hebrew Morphology codes?
There is a Wiki page for morphology codes, http://wiki.logos.com/Morphology_Codes,
Also see Heiser, Michael S., and Vincent M. Setterholm. /Glossary of Morpho-Syntactic Database Terminology/. Lexham Press, 2013; 2013.
Why I type in John Mark in the search do I get material unrelated to the writer of the Gospel of Mark?
Are you doing a Basic, Bible, or Clause Search? If you do an entire library search for John Mark it should give you a Topic section with articles relating to John Mark.

Did you type John Mark in the basic search on your entire library without ""? If so you are searching anywhere there either the word John or Mark.
A few suggestions:
Try "John Mark" in quotes in the search box and see if the results are better.

If you are searching the biblical text, then perhaps you may want to open the clause search and type person:John Mark.

Last suggestion is to open Biblical Facts and type in John Mark.

Peace to you, John! *smile* Welcome to the Logos Forums where we try to help and support and relate positively to one another 24 hours a day! Come back often! Ask! Share!
I tried that search using quotation marks and found lots and lots of stuff. *smile* Please try that and share back with us re. your experiences!

How do I search my library for a particular topic?
Use the Topic Guide on the Guides menu: http://www.logos.com/topic-guide
For resources with Logos tagging use <topic xxxx>

For resources not tagged with topic tags search headings and large text.

Is (spirit OR helper) NEAR truth a valid Bible search?
It's NOT a valid search. It should be (spirit, helper) NEAR truth.
See http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Using_lists for a brief explanation.

How do I search for some practical ways to get over a tendency toward lukewarmness or complacency?
Here are a few ideas:
- Search on the lukewarm in the ESV or preferred bible and you will find Rev 3.16.
- If you want to get right to application and skip exegesis then I would open the Passage Guide and and find an application commentary Wiersbe, Preachers, Preaching the Word etc.
- I would consider opening tools/cited by and referencing several of my collections on Rev 3:16. I have Christian Living, Lucado, MacArthur..
- Next I would run a basic search <revelation 3:16> AND (lukewarm, complacency) to see what else there may be to review.
- L5 allows you to open a topic guide and type in Lukewarm or a Sermon Starter Guide for compromise or Rev 3.16.
Briefly there is some really good discussion and application in Crazy Love by Francis Chan that I think was free on Vyrso some time ago.
How can I search journal article titles for topics including untagged journals?
A Basic search can be useful if you limit it properly. I created a collection called Journals that I search over, and if I limit the searches to "Heading Text", then I get pretty good results:

Using the Journal search {Label Journal article WHERE Topics ~ <Topic Justification>}

Why did the example search ot-quote:light return no results when run against my top Bibles?
Try searching "All Bibles". It seems that only certain bibles are tagged with ot-quotes, and the only English one is the HCSB:

How do you check the resource to see what tags it has?
If you use it as the object of a Basic Search and click on the "All Text" field at the top of the search panel you can see the options available. This is shown on the left of the screenshot below (you may need to click on it to expand it).
The same information is available by clicking on the small "i" at the top right-hand side of a resource and opening the information panel - as shown on the right.
