Finding Questions that God Asks

I am interested in learning if there is a way to use Logos 6 to find all the verses in the Bible where God asks a question? This preferably would include verses that do not include God's various names (including Jesus), but never-the-less include a direct question by Him. I'm not sure where to start. Thanks.

In the Old Testament, you could do a Morph search for "Interrogatives" where God is shown as the speaker

For NT, Dave showed how to do something close to this for the words of Jesus - see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/19890/152064.aspx#152064 and this can be updated to use current Logos capabilities as:

The different Persons of the Trinity are tagged separately so need to be searched for separately.

I would save them as a "Favorite" - if you are not familiar with them you open Favorites from the Tools Menu

You can drag a tab to a Favorites folder - I'll drag the search one to the "Searches" folder

which gives

clicking on it will run the search in a new search pane

If you want to rename the entry in your Favorites folder to something more memorable / descriptive of what you are doing simply right-click the entry and select "Rename"

A more up-to-date approach is:-

{Section <PropositionalOutline = Question>} WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>}

Repeat for other persons of the Godhead.

In the OT, you might need Logos Now for:

{Section <PropositionalOutline = Question>} WITHIN {Speaker <Person God>}

You might also use <Person Angel of the Lord>

A quick comparison with "All the Questions in the Bible" indicates better results (more accurate and less spurious) than with the morphological search.
