Trouble Prioritizing HALOT

In short, I want HALOT (The Hebrew & Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament) to default when I click a Hebrew word. It is prioritized above my other Hebrew Lexicons, and in particular above BDB. But when I click a Hebrew word the Enhanced Brown-Driver-Briggs (BDB) opens. I tried to use advanced prioritization for HALOT but my only option is to select the resource of the type = Aramaic. No Hebrew option exists. Sounds like the resource is just not indexed for Hebrew and the prioritization misses it. But it's linked (set link) with other Hebrew resources and changes to Hebrew words along with other Lexicons. I'm just not sure if it's an issue with prioritization or the resource.

You shouldn't need Advanced Prioritisian for this.

Have you checked the word you are double-clicking is present in Halot?

If not, the highest prioritised lexicon containing the word will be used

HALOT (The Hebrew & Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament) has two resources:

    • HAL has Hebrew headwords
    • HAL Aramaic has Aramaic headwords

    Keep Smiling,

That was it. I had the Hebrew resource open but had prioritized the Aramaic resource. Ugh! Thanks so much!!
