To me that is not big news at all! Timothy Keller's 11 books on pre-bub is not big news. I would not buy any of his books anyway.

Kenute & Whyndell: Take into account that this wasn't a long running hype machine with no clues as to content. This was a picture of Tim Keller and 2-3 days notice. Yes, the picture was a bit blurry, but given that it's used on the Logos website it's not a hard clue to work out - indeed, it was discussed on this forum beforehand in two separate threads.

Having a collection of Keller books might not be exciting for you, but it's big news for me. His books helped me grow more confident in faith in my wobbly early days, and his writing has been a regular source of comfort to me. I'm excited to have them in Logos and working through them again.

I agree with James' comment. I can appreciate that you'll not be jumping on this pre-pub, but others have been asking for this for quite some time. I suggest that a more charitable attitude would be to rejoice with those who rejoice over this news or at least keep your comments to yourself. Then, when a collection of books you've been waiting for finally becomes available, we'll rejoice with you even though we may decide to pass. Fair enough?

It's not "ridiculous nonsense" to call the long delayed addition of a major authors work to Logos big news. You might disagree on whether it is big news in the way that you conceive it, but given the lack of build up and the pretty big clue, I think you're being unfair. You make it sound like it's part of an enormous empty-hype machine, and it just isn't. The thing that they're discussing has come to pass, and it's a big deal for some to have some popular favourite works available in Logos, and it's not liked they built it up without hints for months.

I am glad that FL advertised that something big was coming on April 1. For that day only, the pre-pub was $30 cheaper than it would be after that date. For those of us that had been looking forward to these Keller titles, that was BIG NEWS.

Just to update, it seems the discount price is available until the 05 April 2016 (or at least, that is how it is showing for me). I presume that FL took the decision to extend the offer.
