TIP of the day: Checking that you have a dataset

1. A list of the datasets in your installation is available in the About Logos/About Verbum panel at the bottom of the Help Menu.
2. The datasets are listed in the left hand side. They are grouped into related sets and have names that can usually be translated into their meaning and use. Note that there is also an identifier used by support to check that you have the latest version of a file and a dataset identifier for each dataset.
3. Logos began a project to document the datasets which has not been completed but has made substantial progress. The primary documentation is in you library under type:manual.
In several cases the documentation of the values of the data is in your library under type:glossary.
In some cases where the dataset supports a particular interactive, the documentation is in the interactive.
4. When a feature dependent upon a dataset does not work e.g. the pericope comparison tool,
- first open the "About Logos" tool and see if you have the dataset
- if you have the dataset, ask on the forums what the current version is and update your dataset if necessary
- if you do not have the dataset, check on your purchase history and the Logos store site to see if you should have the dataset. Purchase it or technical services as needed.
