beside the only Thing you could see from this Papyri would be. There is a hebrew written Peace with Words of Jesus (wich is realy no big Deal if you remember where Christianity starts) If this would be from Matthew or someone else is still to proove.
Qute
Great find!
I love that the document as a little piece sticking out to make it look like a q!
I liked this line
[quote]R.U. Shure has long thought that
After meeting Peter Flint and dialoguing with him about certain "new discoveries" whether they were found in the Judean or other areas we both agreed that in some, but not all cases, both the filter of time and serious scholarship would substantiate or otherwise historical finds.
This 'find' is a classic case in point. After translating this papyrus fragment my thoughts on such discoveries ought to clear away any excitements regarding this piece of 'historical' illumination.
Please note the following:
At the bottom of the opening page the reader is challenged to see the Official Web site from whence this piece originates:
This link will take one to the original source of the find. Always liked the name April.
Nice little smile first thing in the morning to get you ready for serious study.
mm.
Wow, I fell head over heals for this article, how foolish :-)
With a name like yours, I think you can be cut some slack.
With a name like yours
"You've got a friend" in me Milkman
I was still considering the matter (and hoping it was true although I doubted it had a subject line "Q by Matthew." I was also wondering what Mark Goodacre's reaction would be.[:S]
Wow, I fell head over heals for this article, how foolish :-) Don't feel bad; iw was well-written. I was skeptical until I got to Dr Richard U. Shure, and then the line "R. U. Shure has long thought…" That was it—I was convinced.
I wonder if someone also noticed:
