On UserVoice you have requests for:
- Personnel Commentaries
- Journals
- Improved Text boxes
Those are the "three birds". The "stone" would be to modify the text box text to have the basic expected functionality:
- text box expands/contracts to fit the entered text - at some point scrolling is acceptable but one should always be able to see at least a full paragraph.
- text box text is searchable
- text box text is exportable and prinatable
- provision is may to reset an entire resource to blank - preferably a choice to clear or archive
This would permit the reuse of a resource by class participants (clear when repeating course) and would allow instructors to enter (and see) proposed answers and frequent questions.
With that basic functionality in place, the users could build and share document templates for Commentaries and Journals:
- Commentary - dynamic text + text box
- Journal - date + text box
- Calendar devotional - secular or liturgical date + text box (just an example of the extensibility of the concept)
To turn this into a marketable sales point, if Logos/Verbum could generate the .docx template rather than the users building and sharing.
