Dynamic pricing is great. Got the collection for $29. [:D]

I'm not quite as dynamic, clocking in at $69 . . .
Random question: wondering why it is listed as "Reformed" (Christian Group), I don't think Fee is (Pentecostal) and maybe another author or two...IH Marshall? Anyway, just curious.
How long is this sale on for?

What new books did you get? I got NICNT 1 Cor. and Reformed Expository Commentary: Galatians.
I think I'll pass on that one...
I am passing, too. I'd get an unknown volume on Galatians and two old volumes on Romans.
Interesting list, and an interesting concept for marketing. I suppose FL will get some buyers from followers of the people they create collections around. Not a bad idea, but for many of us, not necessarily how we'd go about selecting resources. Certainly would not be my list of the best NT commentaries.
Can't speak to Marshall's theology in reformed areas. However, I did want to throw in a bit about Fee. I personally wouldn't consider Fee to be Pentecostal, and I don't believe that he would define himself this way, though most would consider him "Charismatic." There is a difference.
Many will lump both of these together, but they are not the same thing. Pentecostal theology is fairly tightly defined by those who self identify that way, and encompass more than just issues relating to the Holy Spirit. The term "charismatic" is often used for people who are not cessationist, and (not trying to start a fight, just be brief) believe that the Holy Spirit still has a significant biblical role in the lives of Believers today. In this way, Fee would definitely fit that definition, and he writes about many of those issues. Outside a loose similarity about issues of the Holy Spirit, those who are considered Charismatics hold a wide range of theological positions on other topics.
I've read lots of stuff by Fee, and I don't recall anything that would not fit in the general category of "Reformed" (unless you think being Reformed necessitates being cessationist). I might do a bit of research here, because your comment has made me curious, but it wouldn't surprise me if Fee would fit well with Reformed theology in many ways.
For what it's worth...
It's listed as Reformed because it's advertised as a set of commentaries recommended by Tim Challies, a well known reformed blogger. The commentaries aren't necessarily reformed, just the person recommending them.
I think I'll pass! My dynamic price is $162 for NICNT Fee and some other ok commentaries. I own the main ones I need. Great advertisement, nonetheless

There is a difference.
Though I am far from an expert, I am aware of that. I really paused for a minute before deciding to type Pentecostal. I am truthfully not sure why I did. I thought I had picked that up somewhere. But I appreciate your thoughts all the same. As for Reformed--there are many, including Calvin, that are probably more charismatic to some degree than people realize.
Peace to you, and thanks again.

That was helpful, thanks! Overall an odd description for the collection, given your input.

. . . Then you may want to read this:

[;)] it is how he defines himself. I have seen it in other places as well, but this just happened to present itself. he is a member of the AoG. Just to clarify.
peace. [:)]
While I didn't pick anything up this time, collections (sales?) like this are a great way to get folks to buy!
I'm sure a bestcommentaries best collection, or a Carson's Recommended NT Collection will be a killer blow to our wallets.
Such a good idea. Just didn't have enough of what I wanted this time. I am waiting for Version 2.0
Needs some EBC, BECNT and more NICOT/NT
Then my wallet would open like a tulip in April.

He is. I've heard him define himself as Pentecostal "by upbringing and conviction" and I've sat in the seat behind him and his wife at the Pentecostal Church in Vancouver that he was part of for many years.
Yikes. I never saw the rest of this thread.

Wow, my perception was clearly wrong. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Dang, I missed that one. Thanks for correcting me on this.

Not a problem. One of my coolest experiences was seeing him speak on 1 Corinthians at a conference sponsored by a Church of Christ college in Michigan. (about as far from Pentecostalism as you can get). Such a humble man, intelligent and creative thinker.
