Hi all,

I am new to Logos bible software and made a blunder, downloading a massive free library of classical works in English, Latin and Greek. A very generous offer--presumably public domain.

But now my library is absolutely CLOGGED TO THE MAX with this stuff and I simply want to scrub it all. All I can see is a way to hide resources, which doesn't seem to work very well. I just want to delete it once and for all.

Is this feature available within the program?? Or should I go hunting in the program files to see if I can do it manually??

Any help would stop me pulling more hair out and going crazy (at least a bit slower).

Hiding should do what you are looking for. It removes it from your Logos library and removes the files from your hard disk. Although with such a large number of resources it takes a bit of work.

You could follow the following steps which should do what you want:

Open your library to "Details" view
Enter the string "publisher:perseus" into the filter box at the top - this will filter the displays shown to just the Perseus collection
Click in the "type" column of the first one to select it
Scroll down to the bottom and "shift-click" to select them all
Then Ctrl-RightClick will provide a popup menu with the option to hide all the resources.

This should remove them from your library but you will be able to get them back later if you want - note restoring is one at a time

If any of this doesn't make sense or you need more details please advise

You can search Perseus in the library and then select it all to hide. Hiding fully removes it from your computer

I would definitely just hide the things that you don't want, say the Greek and Latin works, since there are likely works that you would like to keep from the collection.

Two ways of dealing with clog: one is hiding/removing unwanted resources while the other is using Library filtering for desired subset:

If have Customer Service lock Perseus collections for you (same effect as returning purchased items), then recommend using command:

delete unlicensed resources

to free up disk space.

Help has Library Filter fields:

Publisher:Perseus has 1,743 resources

English includes 340 resources with United States Civil War History

One search suggestion is prayer NEAR fasting that can use Library filter fields for desired subset of resources:
