Comparing Translations

I know there is a text comparison tool, but I am wondering if it is possible to run a similar comparison on a single word. I see what I am looking for in the "Translation" section of the Information panel, but I'm not sure if that is pulling from all my Bibles.

It's a general question, but I am currently looking at χρῆσιν in Romans 1:26.

It is getting this information from all your reverse-interlinear enabled Bibles - so those Bibles which have a tagged translation for the underlying original language word.

There's no mechanism to compare a single word across translations without reverse interlinears as there is nothing to key against there.

Great point - there isn't a particularly easy way of doing it!

If you run a Bible Word Study on a Greek word and look at the Translation options that should give you a good steer for what NT reverse interlinears you have (doing the same for a Hebrew word will do the same for OT)

There may be an easier way but I can't think of one.

But, anyway, the information in the Translation section should include all your RI-enabled translations.

Bible search for lemma can show results aligned in Reverse Interlinear Bibles:

([field bible, content] <Lemma = lbs/el/χρῆσις>)

Started with lemma search in NA27 Interlinear, which opened Morph Search. Copied Morph Search followed by changing to Bible Search and a collection of English Bibles.

One way to find English Bibles with Reverse Interlinear OR Lemma tagging is searching for a lemma using dynamic collection of

Type:Bible Lang:English

([field bible, content] <Lemma = lbs/el/χρῆσις>)

Note: Lexham High Definition New Testament: ESV Edition has lemma tagging (does not have Interlinear button).
