Installed version different between desktop and laptop

My desktop computer shows installed 6.10 SR-2 whereas my laptop shows 6.9 SR-1. Are there different versions depending on the computer? I have used "Update now" and Update resources" but no change.

My desktop is running Windows 10 pro and my laptop is running the insider beta Windows 10 pro. Might that make a difference?

No - all compatible Windows systems support the same version of Logos

Potentially - but its worth seeing if we can find out why the laptop isn't upgrading.

One thing to check - do you have a download time set on the laptop? You can check this in Tools -> Program Settings.

If so, and you are running the "update now" command outside of that window this could be the cause of what you are seeing.

If that doesn't resolve it please enable diagnostic logging - https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/report-problem - on the laptop, start Logos, execute the "update now" command, close Logos when it has completed and then post logs in a reply to this thread using the paperclip icon.

I tried to attach a zip file but the paperclip icon only is available for media files.

Click on Paperclip icon
Click "Choose File" (under "upload media")
Navigate to the log file on your computer and select it.
Click "choose" (or whatever windows might say. Insert?)
Click "insert."

It may take a minute to load. During this time it may not look like anything is happening. The speed will depend upon the size of the file, the speed of your internet uploads, and traffic on the FL servers.

The log shows that Logos 6.9 is confused by the beta version number of Windows i.e. it tries to update to 6.10 but states "UpdateManager Update installer (version 6.10.0.0041) is out-of-date - marking it as Finished."

I suggest a manual installation using the link provided earlier by Graham.

The error message is unrelated to the version of Windows. It looks like Logos has gotten into a weird state where it thinks the update to 6.10 is already installed. (I would recommend running the update manually, as you already did.)

No, once you install the latest version of 6.10 manually, it should resume updating itself automatically. No more manual updates should be necessary.

I assumed the "weird state" was caused by the beta Windows version, but also assumed if it updated manually there should be no more issue!
