This is the sort of request that should be prioritized if it interferes with the usability of the application for a number of users. It isn't personally a problem for me but I easily see how it could be.
This resulted in a forum check for me a little while ago. When a link in a commentary to another commentary entry exists, there is a link to the text "note" and the "verse", as in "see note on verse 11." If you don't see that "note" is a link, it's easy to miss and think the only link is the verse--force of habit--which is not the goal.
