Both the Search and the Concordance provide this feature. I will grant you they are limited by our inability to override the parsing routine when used. And there is that little problem of the language of transliterated text. So in a sense I see this request as asking for a feature that already exists. On the other hand a quick tool for text statistics could be useful when the stats are all that are needed - especially if the results were presented in a form that would allow user editing either directly or via copy & paste into a document.
