For some time classification of commentaries have been provided by Mark Barnes and by Morris Proctor. If Faithlife did the classification, there could be a consistency in insuring all commentaries are classified. I would suggest that there would have to multiple classifications:
- something along the Proctor devotional, technical, ...
- something along the Barnes century divisions
- something in a methodology division - literary criticism, socio-rhetorical, form criticism ...
