Load the Polytonic Greek keyboard on your Mac. I am on my PC now but when using my MacBook Pro I use the Times New Roman Font with the polytonic Greek keyboard for writing and I have (if I remember correctly) used it in email. Otherwise, you could paste it in from your Word document.
It works fine, but one needs to use it often to get familiar with the the accent keys. For instance, on Mac, the "]" key will give you the grave accent and the ";" will give you the acute accent when typing in Greek. The "[" key will give you the circumflex accent. I have had to write them down on paper to be able to use them fast enough.
