I need a reason why Update resources as a command is not sufficient.
That would be a great tool! I installed Logos on a new PC and I have several libronix CDs with commentaries etc. that don't show up in my library. Support says they can see my licenses for the individual volumes. Neither update now nor update resources brings them into my library. I've checked my resource folder and they are not in it. Here's the content of one CD. MMAT and MACTS are MacArthur's multi-volume commentaries on Matthew and Romans.
The only "E4..." files in my resource folder are these two.
I can reload my CD's but how do I know what I am missing from the cloud? That is, I found out I was missing MacArthur's commentaries because Logos has some MacA commentaries on prepub so I was checking to see what I have in Logos and I knew I had Matthew and Acts but I couldn't find them. What if there are other resources from the cloud that haven't downloaded to my PC? I asked support if he could tell me the number of books in my cloud licensed to me so I can compare it to the number in my library but he said that it is not comparable because his figure includes non-book resources. Support wants to take control of my PC to try to figure it out but there must be another solution since I don't like to give people remote control of my PC.
Sorry, that's ACTS, not Romans. My snippet did not show up in my post. Here are the details.
The following CD files contain nine commentaries, 4 on Matther, 2 on Romans, 2 on Acts, and 1 on 1 Cor.

My resource folder only has the following files with the e4 prefix.

This should be done ethically and I see no reason to not trust Faithlife. If you want to DIY then try https://www.logos.com/redeem with a serial number from the CD, but if a license is available it is possible that the (E4) resources are substandard/inferior and have been deliberately prevented from downloading (see this post from a few years ago).
