Recently, someone made the case to me that we should de-emphasize the pulpit ministry in favor of smaller (1-4 person) gathering in informal settings claiming that Jesus employed such methods as his primary means of discipleship with the Disciples. I seem to recall a number of incidents where Jesus was found in the temple teaching and other scenarios where 4,000, or 5,000 were fed post sermon/teaching time.
Is there a good way to search the gospels to discover all of the incidents in which Jesus did ministry in a larg group setting or taught in a traditional way?
Thank you.
