When searching 

((diakonos OR deacon) NEAR (history, origin, "early church"))

or 

(diakonos OR deacon) NEAR (history, origin, "early church")

Im getting tons of results (1000s). Most have the word "near" in them, or have ONLY ONE of the words above. Very few results give me "deacon" NEAR "history".

What might I be doing wrong. How is "near" showing up as a hit and not being seen as an operator?
