Resources with Temorary Licenses Question

I have some Interactive Resources in my Library that have a Temporary License:

Commandments of the Law, Rick Brannan

Hebrew Bible Manuscript Explorer, Rick Brannan

Miracles of the Bible, Michael Aubrey

Name of God, Faithlife

New Testament Manuscript Explorer, Rick Brannan

New Testament Use of the Old Testament, Rick Brannan and Jeffery Glen Jackson

Septuagint Manuscript Explorer, Rick Brannan

Speaking to God, Eli Evans and James Parks

Synopsis of Samuel, Kings, Chonicles, Jeffery Glen Jackson

Systematic Theologies, Phil Grons and Jacob Cerone

I have not had a chance to use them all yet, but I hade three questions about them:

What is the scenario was that I have them in my library?

Why is it that they have a temporary license?

Can the licenses be made permanent?

I have Verbum Capstone 6 and a Verbum Now subscription.

One resource indicates it was last updated in my library on January 26, another February 8, a couple of others on March 21, etc. Doesn't this mean that I've had them since those dates shown? (I thought temporary Now resources went away after the next cycle.)

I don't remember what the current status of this is. I know at one time there was a command you needed to run. What specific version of the engine are you running?

I'm away from my home computer, but I'll check when I get home this afternoon. I have updates set to automatic so I'm thinking I have what ever the most current, public (not beta) version of the engine. I'll let you know.

That said, I'm not unhappy about the resources. I like the ones I've used. Just curious about the temporary status of the license.

Something just occurred to me as we were talking ... These are not books from publishers in the traditional Logos/Verbum sense. These are features/capabilities with very specific content built by Faithlife (Interactive Media). Now I'm thinking that they are part of the Now subscription (like you said) and as long as I have that subscription active I will have access to the features/capabilities.

These are among the features/capabilities that would potentially be part of the next version of Logos/Verbum whenever that happens. I just have access to them as a Now subscriber and that access occurred when the feature/capability was first published. They are not the same as the temporary book that you get trail access to for a short period of time.

Does that sound correct?

I think another Now subscriber might be able to confirm that by the presence of the resources I mention in the original post in their library.

Steve these are interactive resources that are part of a Logos / Verbum now subscription. Don't confuse them with the trial resources rotated on a monthly basis as part of the same subscription.

Interactive resources are data sets that are being developed over time that will most likely (but not guaranteed) become part of Logos / Verbum 7 when it's released. If you purchase outright a Logos / Verbum 7 package to which these are tied, assuming they make the final cut, at that point I would expect your license to become permanent.
