I was curious if folks have yet received their Calvin 500. I have not received email notification of a credit card charge, so I expect that to happen first. I ordered mine on 4/20/09 (it was announced on 4/17), so if orders are being processed according to the earliest orders, there was a ton of pre-pub ordering going in the first two or three days.
Interestingly, when it was first announced, the price was to be $899.95 for the then anticipated 97 volumes. Eleven volumes were added to the Calvin and the History of Calvinism Collection, and the price increased to $999.95. I am so thankful I got in on the early pre-pub offer or the Calvin 500, excepting the commentaries and Beveridge edition of the Institutes, would have never seen the inside of my computer.
