Bug: Discourse features display incorrectly with Propositional Outlines sometimes

If I have both Discourse features and Propositional Outlines VFs enabled, and run an inline search, and then select a heading from the inline search, it opens up a new tab of the resource to the spot I selected, and the visualization breaks. This seems to occur in all Bibles (I tested the RSVCE and ESV):

Same problem occurs inside the resource if I simply turn on Propositional Outlines first, then turn on Discourse features.

If I turn on Discourse features first, then Propositional Outlines second, it appears correctly.

Thanks for the report. We do not support displaying the Propositions of the Discourse Features visual filters and the Propositional Outlines visual filter at the same time. However, we decided against implementing a mechanism to turn one off when the other is enabled. We assume that having both displayed at the same time is just an intermediate state: you had one or the other enabled, and you're in the process of switching to use the other.

You can use the Propositional Outlines visual filter paragraphing along with the non-proposition Discourse Features symbols by deselecting the Propositions from the Discourse Features submenu.

Okay Faithlife. This makes it essential for you to fix something that has bothered me for years on which I have never been able to follow your thought. Why would I ever want the same filters on multiple copies of the same resources? I have to stretch to invent a potential example. Why would I want two occurrences of a resource with different filters? That happens all the time and this is a perfect example.

Please make filter selection panel specific.

I respectfully disagree with this design decision. If you are assuming that when one is already on, that if I turn the other one I will turn the first off, why make me do the additional scrolling and clicking? Especially if it won't work correctly unless I do those two additional actions?

I have to agree with MJ that this logic strikes me as strange. Both visual filters provide different, complementary information. So, it should seem natural that users would want to be able to combine them.

They actually work pretty well together, as long as you turn them on in the correct order!

If you do stick with the decision to not allow them to be on together, some design improvements would be in order. But I continue thinking the easiest solution is to just fix the little bug that makes them appear strange if turned on in the wrong order, and then let the user decide whether to combine them or not.
