In the audio version of Athanasius: On the Incarnation of the Word of God, the reader, Gordon Greenhill, incorrectly says "Matthew 14:4," rather than reading the correct "Matthew 19:4," as in the print edition [Part I, Chapter II, point 3., on page 22, see "Holy Scripture refutes this (Matt. 19:4; John 1:3)."] When switching to the annoying Windows System Reader, of course, the correct Scripture citation is read.
Another error occurs on page 23, when Mr. Greenhill, perhaps inadvertently, changes the conjunction "but" to an "and." Consider: "The Word called them into being, but [and] by turning away . . ." While seemingly insignificant, I am now beginning to doubt the reliability of this particular audio resource. How many errors are there in this audio version? More importantly, how far can I really trust any of my Logos resources?
Unfortunately, there is not a convenient way (or any way I can see) to report audio errors in a resource. This should be an option. Perhaps a more universal "Report error" could replace the current "Report typo" in all resources, and a resource-specific form could open for reporting the pertinent information needed for correction (i.e. Typos for print resources, Misreadings for audio resources, Incorrect Reference for Scriptural citation mistakes, etc.).
Of course, this begs the larger question of whose job it is to edit resources, anyway. Probably (just a thought), the one being paid to produce the resource, rather than the one paying to use the resource, should actually do the work of editing the resource. Novel, I know. But once again, please consider remunerating those customers who report typos and errors. I understand that rewarding programming suggestions and feature ideas is not feasible (well, it probably actually is). But for the system to track who first reports a verifiable typo or error, and to remunerate them with a token credit, is neither infeasible nor economically unsound. The result would be a far more reliable set of resources with a much happier costumer base.
