Bible Notes in Different Bibles.

If I create a note entry in a verse it is specific to my current Bible.

For example:

In Matthew 13:3 if I create a note with the definition of the word parables it will only show up in the Bible where it was created. If I am in another Bible and in Matthew 13:3 the note is not seen.

In the Note file window, next to the verse reference, it would be nice to have the ability to indicate the top Bibles where I would like the note to appear.

I agree that this is something of a problem. I am (still) working on a commentary of the Apocalypse. In the process of about 20 years I have changed from the NA 27 to NA28 so many of my notes link to the old resource. I would need to redo all of these for them to be consistent.

This is possible using capabilities provided if you are a Logos Now subscriber - basically you set up a Visual Filter for "Corresponding Highlights" which enables "notes by selection" or highlights to be shared

If you are not a Logos Now subscriber then I would expect this functionality would become more generally available when Logos 7 ships but we have no details regarding that.

With "Corresponding Highlights" you shouldn't need to redo them.

In the screenshot below I have added a note by selection to the first three words in Gal 3:29 - the Note has gone into the notes file for NA27 and this is enabled by Visual Filter in NA28 resulting in the note being displayed

I do not, and will not, highlight. It's ugly. Besides, how would that affect which bible is linked?

I thought from what you had said that you were making notes in NA27. Did you mean that you made notes in Notes Files that linked to NA27?

When you make the Note on the selection this is true. However, if you make the note on reference the note is not version specific. You then use the Visual Filters to indicate which versions you wish to see the Note in.
