Indexing - Auto indexing is a nusanse - sorry

Good day and God's blessings in Christ Jesus.

I do website design with wampserver on my laptop and this impulsive auto indexing is most annoying.

Everyday it is me versus the indexing.

I would like to select the process according to my will and schedule.

I do appreciate your feedback.

Indexing will happen when new resources / updates are downloaded. Is this happening every day for you?

Good day. It feels like it. One main "reason" I could think of, is that it never finishes, due to all the activity and me pausing it.

If you continually stop it completing indexing then it will start again next time.

i would recommend letting it finish - maybe overnight - and then see how you go.

there may be a problem with repeated indexing but important to let it finish to ensure everything is current before looking into that possibility

For overnight indexing, suggest notebook cooler plus power adapter along with changing Energy Saver settings to keep computer from sleeping while indexing.

Program Setting for Automatically Download Updates can be changed to No so you control when to download with subsequent indexing.
