An error has occured during the installation of assembly - Download version of Logos 4

Okay, So I have paid for and downloaded the download version of Logos 4 to my desktop and everything worked fine. But when i go through the process to install it it gets to the first windows installer part and pops up with and error message saying:

An error occurred during the installation of assembly

'Microsoft.VC90.CRT.version="9.0.30729.1".publicKey Token = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" .processorArchitecture="x86".type="win32".

If you could find any solution to this problem it would be greatly appreciated i really need to get this up and running asap because i need to read some books for school.

What operating system or you trying to install it in? Are you logged in as administrator (required, I believe)? Have you tried to download a second time to ensure that it's not a corrupted file?

Okay, forgot to put up my system specs here they are:

Hp Pavilion dv7 notebook pc

Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

AMD Turion X2 Duel-Core 2.1ghz

and basically 4gigs ram

I thought about it being that i might have downloaded a 32 bit version but from what i know there was only one option for pc. Plus my friend has a 64 bit operating system and it works just fine (althought he got the cd's)

That error message looks like it's probably coming from the installation of .NET Framework, which Logos requires and will install for you if you don't have it already.

Is the Windows Installer Service started on your machine? Try stopping and restarting it and trying again. To do this, click Start button, type "services", scroll down to "Windows Installer" and click Start (upper left) to start the service, or Restart if it's already started.

Also try a clean boot.

Also try running the installation program as Administrator.

A Google search for HRESULT 0x80070424 finds some troubleshooting sites that mention this error message which might help you get sorted. Otherwise a call to Logos Tech Support is probably in order.
